We recently saw a huge leak about the PlayStation 5 Pro that revealed new details about Sony's new upscaling technology, that it's internally called Project Trinity, and other performance details for the rumored console.

Now new specifications have surfaced online and these include details on system memory, CPU, GPU, sound and expected release window. According to the report from Insider Gaming, it has been revealed that the PS5 Pro's system memory will be 576 GB/s, which is a 28% increase over the PS5's 448 GB/s. In addition, this difference can be increased even more, since the PlayStation 5 Pro also has more efficient memory than the PS5.

When it comes to the CPU, the upcoming console has a feature called High CPU Frequency Mode that increases the clock speed to 3.85Ghz.

As for the GPU, there are many details that we now know about. The upcoming console will have PSSR or PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution which is the upscaling technology for PlayStation. The console will also have support for 8K resolution and will have a specially designed machine learning architecture capable of 300 TOPS of 8-bit computation or 67TFLOPS of 16-bit.

Rendering will be 45% faster than the existing PS5, and ray tracing will be 2-3x faster, and in some cases even 4. The GPU will have a power of 33.5 Teraflops.

PlayStation 5 pro rumors

Next is the sound, which has also been improved by 35% and is able to process more convolution reverbs and FFT or IFFT. The upcoming console is also said to have a "competitive" price, the same removable disk drive and 1TB of storage as the PlayStation 5 Slim, and is expected to launch in the fall of 2024.

However, nothing has been officially confirmed, so take this information with a grain of salt.
