REDKit is released for free to The Witcher 3 owners
CD Projekt RED has just revealed that the official REDkit modding tools for The Witcher 3 will be released on May 21st. The Witcher 3 REDkit is a comprehensive mod editor based on the game's engine that will be available to everyone for free.
These maturation tools are based on the same set of tools that the developers used to create the game, and should allow almost unlimited freedom in maturing it. From what we know, the tools will support both the original and next-gen versions.
For example, PC modders will be able to create new resources, scripts, quests, animations and more. So in theory modders will be able to create total conversions and DLC sized fan expansion mods.
