Nozzle upgrade that is ready for the demanding materials

FDM powerhouse, E3D, and pioneering diamond manufacturers with over 40 years of experience, DiamondBack Nozzles (US Synthetic Company), proudly announce the launch of an exclusive aftermarket upgrade, the most extreme solution to date. Compatible with the Bambu Lab X1 and P1 series 3D printers, this product was developed in collaboration with the Bambu Lab team.

This ground-breaking improvement promises to elevate the capabilities of Bambu printers and offer their users a seamless and upgraded 3D printing experience that can handle the most extreme materials on the market without compromise.

Key features of the E3D x DiamondBack upgrade:

  • Drop-in Replacement HotEnd: The E3D x DiamondBack upgrade acts as a drop-in replacement HotEnd for Bambu X1-C and P1 series printers, ensuring a seamless integration process. Users can easily transition to the enhanced performance without complex changes and continue to use their standard Bambu Lab profiles.
  • Officially approved and licensed Bambu Lab product: This upgrade is officially approved and licensed by Bambu Lab, guaranteeing compatibility and adherence to the highest standards. Users can trust the authenticity of the product and its seamless integration with the Bambu X1-C and P1 series printers. E3D remains the only officially approved manufacturer of aftermarket HotEnds for Bambu Lab.
  • Why diamonds? The rapid development of fibres, metal and ceramic filaments has increased the need for durable nozzles. Compared to all nozzle options on the market, DiamondBack's diamonds deliver unmatched wear resistance and versatility.
  • Precision printing. DiamondBack HotEnds use a solid diamond tip to improve precision 3D printing. The tip is not a diamond coating, but rather a solid diamond insert made of the world's hardest material.
  • Durability. The polycrystalline diamonds (PCD) used in these new HotEnds significantly extend the life of the nozzles. They provide superior thermal conductivity, improving adhesion between layers for stronger prints.
  • Diamond Value: The E3D x DiamondBack upgrade provides exceptional value for those seeking a long-term HotEnd solution. Competitively priced at £125/$160 (excl. tax), this premium upgrade is ideal for professional and industrial users who need their printer to handle the toughest filaments without issue and want the assurance that the nozzle can withstand even the most demanding materials without the need for replacement.

"As with all our products, we strive to enable a better 3D printing experience for every user. Bambu Lab customers can now add exotic material printing to their portfolio without worrying about nozzle wear and the constant maintenance that this previously required ,” said Clare Difazio, Head of Product Strategy and Marketing at E3D.

"With Bambu's development team working with us on this project, users can also rest assured that their printer warranty remains intact."

Harris Taylor, Managing Director at DiamondBack Nozzles, said: "We are excited to bring our diamond technology to the 3D printing world in partnership with E3D and Bambu Lab. This upgrade is designed to allow users to expand the boundaries of 3D printing with extreme materials while ensuring durability and precision. We believe this is a game-changer for those who demand more from their printers."

The E3D x DiamondBack upgrade for the Bambu X1-C and P1 series printers is now available for purchase, with the X1E variant arriving later in October.

E3D is pleased that Bambu Lab continues to donate 100% of their license fee from the sale of this product back to the community. Both the Sanjay Mortimer Foundation and a fund supporting emerging 3D printing talent from developing countries are being supported through the sale of this upgrade.
