Foxconn, the world's largest electronics manufacturer, has been seen starting test production of Apple's iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models at its factory in Chennai. The move marks an important change in Apple's production as it tries to diversify its manufacturing base away from China due to geopolitical tension.

With test production now underway, it is expected that Foxconn will begin mass production of these new iPhone models by the end of the financial year.
