In the past 5 months, OnePlus' sales in Denmark have accelerated. According to the research institute GFK, unit sales across OnePlus' product line have increased by as much as 25 per cent when the figures from January to May this year are compared with the same period last year. This is despite the fact that the smartphone market as a whole has declined by 15 per cent. from January to May this year compared to the same period last year.

In addition, OnePlus' share of the total value in the market has increased by 18 per cent when looking at figures from January to May 2023 compared to the same period the previous year.

OnePlus is now in the top 3 at home

OnePlus is also in the top 3 of smartphone manufacturers in Denmark measured in terms of both unit sales and value - both when looking at the past 12 months, 6 months, 3 months and the last month.

"When I took over as Danish country manager for OnePlus in May last year, the ambition was to consolidate us as a top 3 brand in Denmark. In less than 1 year, we have succeeded in doing just that and achieved massive growth in the past 5 months, driven especially by our latest top model OnePlus 11 5G," says Thor Gøtz, country manager for OnePlus in Denmark.

The growth is driven by this year's flagship model OnePlus 11 5G

Since the OnePlus 11 5G landed in Danish stores on 16 February 2023, sales of the new flagship model in the first 4 months have increased by as much as 34 per cent. in Denmark compared to last year's top model OnePlus 10 Pro. This makes the top model OnePlus 11 5G the primary growth driver for OnePlus in the past 5 months. At the same time, figures from the analysis institute GFK show that the OnePlus 11 5G 16/256, when compared at a specific model level, is the best-selling Android flagship phone from 2023 on the entire Danish market from February to May.
