Ahead of the global launch on July 5, OnePlus is unveiling more details about the camera technology in the new smartphone. The newest addition to the Nord series, the OnePlus Nord 3, has been developed with the promise of offering the user a mid-range smartphone that has pretty much everything you could want - not least when it comes to the camera.
“Even though the OnePlus Nord 3 is our newest mid-range smartphone, that doesn't mean the photography experience is mid-range. We have taken the core of our flagship OnePlus 11's camera technology and brought it to the OnePlus Nord 3 to ensure that our users get a fantastic experience with every photo they take," says Thor Gøtz, Country Manager for OnePlus in Denmark.
Camera technology of the highest standard
According to OnePlus, the OnePlus Nord 3 is launched with a combination of the best photo hardware on the market and OnePlus-developed algorithms to ensure users a world-class camera experience. The OnePlus Nord 3 is equipped with a Sony IMX890 camera sensor, which is the same 50 megapixel sensor used in their new high end phone, the OnePlus 11 5G, as well as the same optical image stabilization technology as in the flagship phone. The OnePlus Nord 3 also comes with OnePlus' own photography algorithms which, according to OnePlus, ensure that the new smartphone takes great pictures every single time, regardless of the conditions.
OnePlus' details of a world-class camera come hot on the heels of the first official look at the OnePlus Nord 3's design, where the two colors Tempest Gray and Misty Green were presented.
The global and final launch of the OnePlus Nord 3 will take place on July 5. We are betting on taking a closer look at the OnePlus Nord 3 before the summer holidays hit, so that we can test the camera ourselves and see if OnePlus lives up to the big promises.
