There has been a lot of speculation about the gameplay part of Assassin's Creed Shadows. Now, with a new Gameplay Trailer, we have gained a small insight into the upcoming game's gameplay elements.

A new trailer for Ubisoft Quebec's upcoming action RPG began with fast-paced scenes showing the changing of the seasons — the ubiquitous Japanese cherry blossoms in spring, snow in winter, and torrential rain on a muddy battlefield littered with corpses.

Then we saw shinobi protagonist Naoe dragging enemies down into the tall grass like predators preying on tourists in Jurassic Park, and quick clips of her doing the Assassin's Creed franchise's signature parkour on rooftops, aided by a grappling rope. It also seems that you can now look around corners.

Exactly one minute into the trailer, the focus shifts to Shadows' samurai hero Yasuke, who marches through the countryside and then turns another set of enemies into kebabs on his gleaming sword.

The trailer ends with quick cuts of both Naoe and Yasuke in battle - the former turning off lanterns to strike in the dark, the latter slicing throats as easily as bamboo.
