Techland has just launched the official Steam page for Dying Light: The Beast and revealed the first details. Dying Light: The Beast will be a standalone game, meaning it will not require Dying Light 2 to play.

In this game, you will assume the role of Kyle Crane, the man whose selflessness during the original virus outbreak saved many from a fate worse than death. After more than a decade in captivity, you find yourself in a world that has changed – and not for the better.

The game will take place in Castor Woods. According to the developers, the world will have natural landmarks, small villages and industrial complexes that offer different ways to move around.


Crane will also have some superhuman powers. After years of experimentation, zombie DNA and his own are now so intertwined that he is able to unleash an inner beast with powers beyond the ordinary..

Finally, the game will support both solo and co-op modes. Players will be able to form teams of up to four players.
