Insomniac Games Reveals New Features for Marvel's Spider-Man 2! New Game Plus mode, new costumes and more coming on March 7, 2024.

Insomniac Games, the developers behind the popular action-adventure game Marvel's Spider-Man 2, recently gave fans a look at a number of new features coming to the game soon. The studio has revealed that the game will get its long-awaited New Game Plus mode on March 7, 2024. This news was confirmed on Twitter / X, where Insomniac teased some of the "highly requested" features that players can look forward to, including New Game Plus, new collectible suits and more.

So far, the studio has kept the cards tight about what else players can expect. However, it has been promised that a full list of the upcoming features will be revealed closer to the launch of the new game update. When it comes to New Game Plus, this feature is still shrouded in mystery. Generally, these game modes allow players to relive a game with certain skills, abilities or items already unlocked - but in the case of Spider-Man 2, this can make the game too easy in the early stages.

Another interesting detail is that Insomniac has apparently been working on this mode since the game's launch in October 2023. This suggests that there might be more at stake than just a simple replay for the avid gamers. The studio has yet to share details about the mode and its accompanying update, but there could be more to these plans than meets the eye.

A New Game Plus mode that introduces new story content or teasers isn't out of the realm of possibility for this game - and very recently, developer Remedy Entertainment proved how effectively the mode can work for video game narratives with Alan Wake 2. So far, everything has what Insomniac has talked about for its latest game update has been the ability to swap Venom string colors, the ability to change the time of day, and a number of accessibility tweaks.
