New 25 minute video of Oblivion Remake

If you're a fan of the Elder Scrolls: Oblivion game, but find that the nearly 20-year-old game has become a bit difficult to watch, then there's good news. The modding team behind Skyblivion has just released a new video showing some of the progress the team has made in making a complete remake of the Oblivion game using the graphics engine from Skyrim.

The goal of Skyblivion is to bring the old Elder Scrolls: Oblivion game up in a more modern form. Because even though Skyrim also has a number of years behind it, the graphics engine here is quite a bit more versatile, and not least beautiful to look at, especially when you factor mods into the equation.

Work on Skyblivion has been going on for a long time, but the team is aiming for a launch in 2025. So there is still some time left, but to kill the wait, they have just released a new 25-minute long video. Here the team shows some of the things they are working with.


Although still a Work in Progress, it already looks impressive. Especially when you consider that it was created by volunteer modders. Skyblivion can be used together with both the classic Skyrim and Skyrim Special Edition. When it finally lands, you will be able to choose which parts of the total package you want to install. So you can choose things like Landscaping, Interiors, City improvements or Weapons/Armor.
