EA and BioWare have released a new video that gives us an insight into the game's advanced combat system. Or at least that's what the developers claim. Fortunately, the video contains no spoilers.

To go into more detail, the video will teach you how to prepare for battle, basic fighting techniques, crowd control, combo attacks and more.

The good news here is that you will be able to issue commands to your companions. You will also be able to pause time to choose your skills. So at least that's good news.

To be honest, this match video makes the game look good. I don't know if the story will be good, but the combat system seems to be excellent. Or at least that's the impression I got from the video.

In the new Dragon Age game, players enter the world of Thedas, a vibrant land of raw wilderness, treacherous labyrinths and glittering cities steeped in brutal combat and secret magic. Now the fate of the world hangs on a knife edge.

Players will create a brave community to challenge the looming storm. Friendship, drama and romance will blossom as you assemble remarkable individuals into an extraordinary team. Be the leader and light the light of hope in their darkest moments.

EA will release Dragon Age: The Veilguard on October 31st. As we already reported, the game will support Ray Tracing on PC. More precisely, there will be support for ray-traced reflections and ray-traced shadows. In addition, there will be support for NVIDIA's DLSS 3 (however, it appears that the game will not support AMD FSR 3.0 FG).

Dragon Age: The Veilguard will not require an EA account. We already knew it wouldn't require the EA App, but it's also good to know that you don't need to create an EA account to play it. Linking your Steam account to your EA account will be completely optional. And, for all we know, it might not even have Denuvo.
