2K Games and Firaxis Games have revealed that Sid Meier's Civilization VII will be released on February 11, 2025. In addition, the teams have shared the first gameplay trailer for the game, which you can find here.

Sid Meier's Civilization VII is a 4X strategy game developed by the legendary team at Firaxis Games, the developers behind the Civilization and XCOM series.

In this game, you will rule as one of many legendary leaders throughout history. You must establish your civilization, build cities and architectural marvels to expand your territory, conquer or cooperate with rival civilizations in pursuit of prosperity, and explore the far reaches of the unknown world.


Earlier this month, Firaxis revealed that Civ 7 will not use the 2K launcher. Additionally, the developers have confirmed that you do not need a 2K account for offline play. However, for online play you will need a 2K account. However, it's good to know that the game won't force you to create a 2K account.
