Former Halo: Infinite developer Kaleb Nekumanesh has shared some impressive screenshots and a video of a project he's playing around recreating the original BioShock game in Unreal Engine 5.

These show what a modern remaster of BioShock would look like using Unreal Engine 5, and as you can see, it looks amazing.

To create this fan remaster, the artist used Megascans and custom materials, models and decorations he created himself. To speed up development, Kaleb also used some Marketplace Assets.

The final result is impressive. This fan remaster has retained the original BioShock's art style while managing to significantly improve the overall quality thanks to UE5.

Although he doesn't announce it, it looks like this fan project uses UE5's Lumen. Regardless, this BioShock project in Unreal Engine 5 looks brilliant.

For those who don't know, Kaleb Nekumanesh is currently working on a free-to-play Halo game. We don't know when it will be ready, but he plans to release it soon. However, there are no plans to release his BioShock project as it is more of an art project than an actual remaster.
