OpenAI's key leaders, including co-founders John Schulman and Greg Brockman, are stepping down. This development in the AI giant has created debate in the industry.

According to a couple of posts on X from co-founders John Schulman and Greg Brockman today, it has been confirmed that they are leaving the AI company. In addition, the builder Peter Deng is also leaving the company.

These resignations have sent shock waves through the industry. At the same time, CEO Sam Altman has written on X: "Thank you for everything you've done," in response to John Schulman's resignation post.

Schulman, co-founder of the AI company, wrote: "I have made the difficult decision to leave OpenAI. This decision stems from my desire to immerse myself in AI alignment and start a new chapter in my career to which I can return for practical technical work." He added, "I have decided to pursue this goal at Anthropic."

At the same time, Greg Brockman, another co-founder, wrote, "I'm taking a sabbatical until the end of the year. First time to relax since I co-founded OpenAI 9 years ago. The mission is far from complete; we still need to build a secure AGI."

Although the CEO exudes calm despite these resignations, as seen in his X post, discussions continue across the industry as Elon Musk recently reopened a lawsuit against OpenAI. The Tesla CEO reportedly claims the AI giant breached its founding contract by prioritizing commercial interests over the common good.

This statement can be attributed primarily to the AI company's partnership with Microsoft in 2019. It is also worth mentioning that Elon Musk co-founded the generative AI company with Sam Altman and Greg Brockman, but later chose to go his own way. Nevertheless, the lawsuit may run into obstacles with Greg's resignation.
