Microsoft is coming up with an exciting new feature for Windows 11 that will enable users to connect to WiFi networks using QR code scanning. This enhancement is designed to make connecting to networks easier, especially for mobile devices such as notebooks and tablets.

This will eliminate the need to manually enter passwords, which can often be a time-consuming and error-prone process. This new feature will be integrated into Windows 11's camera app, where users can enable it by selecting "Scan Barcode" mode. It's an intuitive and user-friendly solution that will make it easier to connect to WiFi no matter where you are.

This QR code scanning capability is currently available in the preview versions of Windows 11. It is expected that it will be officially launched in the 24H2 update scheduled for release this fall. Although this add-on promises greater convenience, especially for users of mobile devices, it is worth mentioning that preview versions may contain bugs.

The 24H2 update will also introduce new system requirements, such as the need for the POPCNT instruction set. This could potentially affect those with older hardware.
