The included ROTA PRO fans are 120mm units designed to deliver efficient cooling with minimal noise. They use magnetic levitation technology, which reduces friction and extends life. The fans have a wide rotation range that can be adapted to the system's needs, and their optimized blade design ensures a high air flow. In addition, they are equipped with vibration-damping mounting points, which further reduces the noise level during operation.

The Test – Use and Performance

Test system

  • MSI MEG Z690 Unify
  • Intel I9 12900K
  • MSI Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti
  • 32 GB HyperX Fury DDR5 5200 MHz CL36
  • Samsung 970 EVO 500 GB SSD
  • Seasonic Prime TX-1300

Test software

  • Cinebench (Benchmark)
  • HWinfo64 (Monitoring)

Procedure

The test is set up so that we first warm up the system with Cinebench for 5 minutes. Then run it further for 10 minutes where we measure the average temperature in HWiNFO64. We then finally subtract the room temperature at the given time and land on a delta temperature to give as neutral a picture as possible. The fans are set to run at full speed, so that you get a picture of the maximum cooling performance with the load we are now giving it. It should give a real picture of how much you can stress on the various coolers, and whether they can take more or less than what we give it.

**After following up a bit on the I9 12900K and heat generation, I have chosen to turn off Hyper-Threading, to give the cooler the opportunity to show what it can do, rather than pushing the CPU to its maximum. All tests in the future will run like this.

The measurements:

  • Room temperature: ~ 26 degrees
  • Fan speed: ~ 1850 RPM
  • TDP: 198W

The TRYX PANORAMA 240 achieves a delta temperature of 5 degrees in idle mode, which is higher than most other models in the test, which are between 3 and 4 degrees. The only cooler with a significantly higher delta temperature is the EK Nucleus AIO CR240 Dark, which reaches 9 degrees. Although the PANORAMA 240 offers a unique design and visual flair with its AMOLED screen, this measurement shows that its cooling performance in idle mode is slightly less efficient compared to the competition. This may be relevant to consider for those who prioritize low temperature over aesthetics.

The TRYX PANORAMA 240 performs impressively in the load test with a delta temperature of 43 degrees, which is the lowest among the coolers tested. This temperature indicates highly effective cooling under load, and PANORAMA 240 outperforms competitors such as BE QUIET! LIGHT LOOP 240 with 46 degrees and the vast majority of other coolers, which lie between 49 and 59 degrees. The cooler achieved this result with a power consumption of 198W during the test.

Noise level

L-shape Vision 3D ASETEK 2K TRYX ROTA 8th AMOLED Panorama 240.jpg

Our noise measurements were made with a UNI-T UT353 dB meter. The measurements were made in a "real world" setup and thus not in a sound chamber. External influences have of course been tried to be reduced as much as possible, but as I said, this has not been done in a sound chamber. Our measurements must therefore most of all be taken as a general indicator and not a scientific measurement. They primarily serve as a basis for comparison across tested products, which are always tested under as comparable conditions as possible.

Conclusion

The TRYX PANORAMA 240 AIO cooler is a visually impressive cooling solution that stands out on the market with its curved AMOLED display that not only provides practical temperature information, but also adds an aesthetic touch to any computer. The cooler has a multitude of functions and technical specifications, which make it suitable for both gaming and professional use. Our tests were conducted on a powerful system with Intel I9 12900K and supporting hardware, and the results clearly show the cooler's strengths and weaknesses.

In the idle test, where the system is at rest, the TRYX PANORAMA 240 achieved a delta temperature of 5 degrees. This result is slightly higher than several competing coolers, which are between 3 and 4 degrees, and it suggests that the cooler may not excel in idle mode. This may be because the design and functionality is more focused on performance under load than low idle temperature. For users looking for a low idle temperature, this can be a disadvantage, especially if they value cooling performance over aesthetics.

During the load test, however, the TRYX PANORAMA 240 stood out as the best performing cooler with a delta temperature of 43 degrees, which is lower than all other coolers tested. With fan speeds around 1700 RPM and a power supply of 198W, the cooler kept the temperature stable, which is a testament to its efficiency when the system is working hard. This performance makes the cooler an attractive choice for those running heavy programs or playing demanding games where temperature control is critical.

Another advantage of the PANORAMA 240 is its noise level. Measurements show that the cooler works quietly and efficiently even when the fans are running at full speed, making it suitable for users who want a quiet solution without compromising on performance. The cooler is also easy to mount and comes with a mounting kit that fits a wide range of Intel and AMD sockets, making it flexible and compatible with most systems.

A significant disadvantage of the TRYX PANORAMA 240 is the price. With a recommended price of 360$ for the ARGB version of the 240 mm model, it places itself at the higher end of the price scale for AIO coolers. Although its unique design and AMOLED screen give it a luxurious look, it may be difficult to justify this price for users who are primarily looking for high cooling efficiency without the visual features.

Overall, the TRYX PANORAMA 240 is a premium AIO cooler that combines efficient cooling under load with a unique design and low noise level. Its performance under load makes it particularly attractive to demanding users, but the slightly higher idle temperature and the high price may be a deterrent for those primarily looking for functionality at a lower price. The cooler is therefore best suited for enthusiasts who value both function and form in their setup.

TRYX PANORAMA 240 scores 8 out of 10 together with the "Enthusiast Only" award. Its impressive performance under load and unique design weigh heavily, but the high price drags it down a bit.

Benefits

  • Easy to install
  • Low noise level
  • Great performance under load
  • Mounting kit for many sockets
  • Unique design

Disadvantages

  • Price
