Before we get closer to the GEM from Cooler Master, I've been looking for some specs.

Specifications:

  • Materials: Plastic, steel, silicone and magnet
  • Dimensions: 91 x 84 x 115 mm
  • Compatible: Universal game pad, VR headset, headset, Phone etc.
  • Supported weight: Magnetized surface: Up to 2 Kg. SandwichTech structure: Up to 1.5 Kg.
  • Warranty: 2 years

About Cooler Master GEM

GEM uses a magnet for the mounting itself. It provides a flexible solution so that you are not bound to have space on the table for a stand. But you can mount it on the wall, cabinet or any surface where you can put a magnet.

GEM can be mounted on non-magnetic surfaces up to 4mm thick, including glass, acrylic, plastic and aluminium. It is possible to remove the magnet and mount it on the opposite side of the surface. That way, you avoid having to install one in the glass of your cabinet if you want to have the headset hanging there.

The arm of the holder itself is made of silicone, to protect the equipment from being scratched.

Should you be able to charge the headset or the phone when it is hanging on the holder. Then Cooler Master has provided easy cable routing for the cord.

Price

It has not been possible to find the Cooler Master GEM online yet. But I have been informed of an MSRP of DKK 249.
