Beoplay H100 has been improved in all disciplines: unrivaled high-quality sound, exceptional digital noise reduction, a new modular construction and a beautiful design that builds on Bang & Olufsen's design icons.
“Beoplay H100 surpasses everything we have achieved in the category for almost 100 years and helps to define the future; an era where world-class sound is built for longevity. The new headphones represent Bang & Olufsen's true potential in portable audio," says Kristian Teär, CEO of Bang & Olufsen and continues: "The headphones were created with inspiration and knowledge from the performance of our powerful Beolab 90 speakers and our iconic designs over time . With a modular construction that highlights the best materials and circular principles, Beoplay H100 demonstrates our special design and innovation skills at Bang & Olufsen.”
Design that ensures comfort
Beoplay H100 is created from the best materials to ensure a deeper and finer sound - anywhere. The Beoplay H100 has a scratch-resistant touch interface in tempered glass on the side of the headphones, which, together with rotary knobs, ensures that all important controls are easily accessible. The new removable headband, wrapped in special knitted textile, is designed to ensure breathability and comfort throughout the day. The ear cushions, which are made of soft lambskin, complete the comfortable experience.
Beoplay H100 is available in three colors: Infinite Black, Hourglass Sand and Sunset Apricot. The color Infinite Black refers to Bang & Olufsen's classic design aesthetic, where the deep black leather contrasts with the natural-coloured aluminium. The color of Hourglass Sand has a Scandinavian tone in tone design, while Sunset Apricot is made in bright copper aluminum that matches the warm peach tones of the leather.
"With the Beoplay H100, we combine high-quality materials and colors inspired by jewelry to create a timeless and sophisticated design. With the beautiful aluminum shine, the softness of the leather and the cool glass, the Beoplay H100 shines not only with world-class sound, but also with excellent design, " says Tiina Kierysch, Head of Design at Bang & Olufsen.
The lightweight leather case makes it easy and stylish to take the headphones with you on your travels. When the Beoplay H100 is out of the case and not in use, they go into power-saving mode, which ensures standby time of up to 90 days. If the headphones are stored in the case, they are switched off, which allows for more than a year of standby time.
Good sound requires silence
With 40mm custom-made titanium units behind elegant aluminum grilles, Beoplay H100 delivers Hi-Res sound tuned by renowned Bang & Olufsen
tonmeister and inspired by the loudspeaker Beolab 90.
"The Beoplay H100 are the best headphones we've ever created. Whether you're listening to your favorite music or having a phone call in a noisy environment, the H100 delivers exceptional sound," says Bang & Olufsen's Technology Director Neo Kaplanis and continues: "We've developed a advanced microphone system that delivers crystal clear sound even in very demanding situations. At the same time, we have doubled the performance of our active noise cancellation (ANC) from Beoplay H95 and developed EarSenseTM technology that tailors the sound to the user's fit in real time while listening to music on the go."
Design according to circular principles
Bang & Olufsen's focus on product circularity is evident in the Beoplay H100. The new headphones are designed based on cradle-to-cradle principles, and it is expected that the Beoplay H100 will be officially certified during 2025.
"We are proud to be able to bring our modular design thinking to Bang & Olufsen's portable category for the first time. It is a step in the right direction towards improving the circularity of products across our entire portfolio. For the Beoplay H100, we have prioritized longevity , better maintenance and repair options in a modular design. We have also developed our software with an eye to the future, so that the headphones can be adapted and developed in line with new technologies," says Mads Kogsgaard Hansen, Head of Product Circularity at Bang & Olufsen.
Beoplay H100 sets new standards for portable electronics with a focus on long-lasting properties – for example when the user can replace worn parts such as the headband and ear cushions themselves. The design also provides easy access for Bang & Olufsen's service team to replace key components such as batteries, glass surfaces, drivers and printed circuit boards, which can help extend the lifespan.
Inspired by the Mozart software platform, the software on the Beoplay H100 can be upgraded so that the headphones are not overtaken by new technology. In addition, Beoplay H100 comes with an extended five-year warranty when you sign up for Beocare - Bang & Olufsen's extended warranty program.
