Central Features
It is of course a Bluetooth keyboard and one of the lightest, with a weight of just over 200 grams.
A tour around the Logitech Keys-To-Go 2
The Logitech Keys-To-Go 2 is almost unnoticeable when it's just folded on the table. It measures 250x105x8.99mm at the widest pieces. The keyboard comes with a foldable cover, which partly protects it during transport and partly acts as a base that lifts it slightly when in use. The lid is held in both positions with magnets that click very satisfactorily into place.
Logitech Keys-To-Go 2 is available in three colors, Pale Gray. Lilac and then the Graphite that we have visited. To keep the weight down, the materials are primarily plastic and are made from between 33% and 36% recycled plastic.
If we open the lid, we can have a look at the inherently very compact keyboard. They are scissor contacts with an activation height of one mm.
It is of course a TKL layout to keep the size down, but Logitech has, via a function key, given us a number of shortcuts via the F1 to F12 keys at the top of the keyboard.
Here you can, among other things, switch between the up to three devices you can be connected to at a time.
Logitech Keys-To-Go 2 can be used with both Mac and Windows along with ChromeOS, iPad OS, iOS and Android, so it is to that extent a mobile keyboard with a focus on a life on the go.
At the top we find a power button, so you can easily switch off the Logitech Keys-To-Go 2 when you have to keep it in your bag. It is all powered by CR2031 button cell batteries, which are located at the top. However, it requires removing a few screws before you can access them.
Software
If you want to customize the settings on the Logitech Keys-To-Go 2, it can be done via Logitech's Logi Options+ software. Here you have the option to update your firmware if there is anything new there.
There is also the option to customize a bit of the functions on the Logitech Keys-To-Go 2. There is the option to customize the shortcuts from F4 to F12. Here there is a wide selection of options, and you can make shortcuts to pretty much everything you could think of from System functions, program shortcuts or Logitech's Smart Actions.
The test
Logitech Keys-To-Go 2 is clearly designed for use with mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones, but can of course just as easily be used with your PC or Mac.
The connection is easy via Bluetooth, and as I said, you can be connected to up to three devices at a time, so you can easily switch between e.g. PC, phone and tablet.
During my testing, I've used it across these three devices and have had no connection or response issues at any point.
Of course, the compact form factor means that getting up to normal typing speed with the Logitech Keys-To-Go 2 takes some getting used to. However, after my testing here, typing on the Logitech Keys-To feels completely natural, if a bit cramped -Go 2, compared to my normal keyboard.
For everyday work, I need a little more features and things like the numpad part, which I often use. However, it is a sacrifice that is worth taking with you when you have to be on the move and things must be as light and compact as possible in the bag.
In any case, it is a big improvement over an on-screen keyboard on, for example, a phone or tablet. It's a shift that means I'd actually consider using my tablet to quickly respond to emails or even do actual writing.
The keys on the Logitech Keys-To-Go 2 feel comfortable and after the first getting used to it, it is easy to become addicted to the fast feel it gives with an activation height of only one mm.
However, it will of course always be a matter of personal preference. I am already very happy with low profile keyboards for work and writing tasks, so for me the change is not a big one.
The Logitech Keys-To-Go 2 is super portable and is compact enough to fit in a large pocket if you're still in the mood for Cargo Pants. Getting it in your bag is not a problem.
There is no shadow of light or anything else in the Logitech Keys-To-Go 2, but of course it is all to achieve as long a battery life as possible. Logitech itself states a battery life of up to three years, which of course would not be possible with lights and the like.
However, this has not been a problem as the font on the keys is clear.
Price
At the time of writing, I can find Logitech Keys-To-Go 2, in our tested Graphite version, with an online price of $79.99.
Conclusion
If you are looking for a compact and complete keyboard to take with you on the go or just want a super minimalist keyboard for the home office, then the Logitech Keys-To-Go 2 is a solid bet.
Materials and build quality are really good and the typing experience is delicious if you like a low profile keyboard.
It is super portable and easy to carry, and that, combined with the ability to easily and quickly switch between three devices, makes it a good companion on the go.
The price falls very nicely in line with comparable alternatives.
It might not be the most mind-blowing and exciting product, but it's also not necessary in the segment that Logitech is aiming for.
We end up with a final grade of 8 for a solid and well-functioning product.
