The Noctua Edition of the high-end TX-1600 model takes this excellent platform and combines it with the iconic, cutting-edge NF-A12x25 fan, as well as a custom-designed, highly optimized fan grille, which allows it to run ~8-10 dB(A) more quieter than the already quiet standard model.

Thanks to its semi-passive fan control, the TX-1600 Noctua Edition will run fully passively at up to approx. 50% load under normal ambient temperatures (≤25°C) and only gradually increase the fan speed when the load or temperature increases. This makes it an excellent choice not only for power-hungry high-end builds, but also for quiet systems that don't require the full 1600W and therefore often want the power supply running with the fan off or at almost inaudible speeds. Even at 100% load, the Noctua Edition runs almost silently at ambient temperatures up to 25°C, producing only ~24 dB(A) compared to ~34 dB(A) for the standard model. This significant reduction in noise emissions is reflected in an upgrade of Cybenetic's Lambda average noise level score from A to A++.
