Philips is expanding its Wi-Fi-enabled smart lighting range (running on the WiZ platform), with a focus on living room entertainment and a range of new lamps that can light up in multiple colors at the same time.

HDMI Sync Box 2.1: Light that follows the screen

The biggest news is their new HDMI Sync Box 2.1. It is used to synchronize your lights with what is happening on the TV screen, whether you are watching a movie or gaming. The great thing about this is that it supports the latest HDMI standards and is sold as a complete set including a lightstrip for the back of the TV, so you are ready to go right away.

According to Mafalda Monteiro, Business Leader at Philips Smart Lighting, it's about more than just light:

New lamps and accessories for the WiZ system

In addition to the Sync Box, there will be a number of new products, all controlled via the existing WiZ app:

  • Gradient products: Both floor lamps and light bars now have gradient effects, where the lamp can display multiple colors at once, providing smoother transitions on the wall.
  • Squire Lite: A small, compact table lamp that is good for "painting" the wall with light (wall-washing).
  • Smart Dial Switch: A new wireless remote control where you can turn a dial to adjust the brightness or press to switch between different lighting scenarios.

All products are expected to hit stores from June 2026. Here is an overview of the most important prices:

  • HDMI Sync Box 2.1 (incl. TV lightstrip): 55”–65”: DKK 1,119.95 - 75”–85”: DKK 1,269.95
  • Gradient Floor Lamp: DKK 709.95
  • Gradient Light Bar (2 pcs.): DKK 489.95
  • LED strips (3m to 20m): From DKK 164.95 to DKK 1,199.95.
  • Squire Lite table lamp: DKK 299.95.
