About Pure Wings 3
As the name indicates, it is part of the Pure series at be quiet!, where we have reached the third generation. It is a fan designed to provide good performance with a low noise level. It uses a closed motor system, and the blade end is optimized to provide higher air pressure.
It's not because Pure Wings 3 offers lyre in the form of RGB or anything else. But they keep the design as we know it from be quiet! with the black and stylish. Their high speed models come with up to nine blades, where the other models have seven.
All Pure Wings models can be used both to suck air in, but also out of the cabinet. Their high speed models are intended for the radiator if you use water cooling, where they are normally intended for the cabinet. Their 120mm has a speed of 1600 and 2100 RPM respectively and can achieve an airflow of 84.8 and 101.2 CFM. For their 140mm model, it is a speed of 1200 and 1800 RPM, and with an airflow of 97.5 and 122.6 CFM.
Pure Wings 3 comes with a 4-pin PWM connector, which makes it possible to adjust the speed of the fan in the BIOS, with their PWM models, but can also be obtained as a 3-pin on their standard model.
The Test – Use and Performance
Noise level
Our noise measurements were made with a UNI-T UT353 dB meter. The measurements were made in a "real world" setup and therefore not in a sound chamber. External influences have of course been tried to be reduced as much as possible, but as I said, this has not been done in a sound chamber. Our measurements must therefore most of all be taken as a general indicator and not a scientific measurement. They primarily serve as a basis for comparison across tested products, which are always tested under as comparable conditions as possible.

Conclusion
Be quiet! have come up with a sensible product where they have achieved a good combination between air pressure that the fan can create and noise level. It is, however, a compromise with some things, and you can also see, if you compare with their Silent wings, that these actually achieve a greater air pressure than Pure wings. However, it comes at the cost of more noise at 100%.
Even if Pure Wings 3 runs at 100%, it is an acceptable noise level, but you can also hear the difference between high speed and not.
They come with an incredibly attractive price, which means that they can easily compete with many others on the market, which can quickly come to cost double the price.
Of course, it is not a fan that brings RGB to your build, but it comes with the black stylish design, which creates a stealth look. If you are into this kind of design, and you can do without RGB, then this is undoubtedly a fan for you, no matter if it is for the cabinet or for the water cooler.
When it comes to the water cooler, however, I had hoped for greater air pressure, because even though it is in line with many other fans, there are still a handful that stand out significantly, and the Pure wings 3 finds it difficult to keep up with the specifications to provide the most optimal solution when it comes to blowing around the radiator.
However, I still end up giving Pure wings 3 from be quiet! a score of 9 out of 10. They have created some fans where you get a lot for your money and without having to spend a fortune get some solid products.
