2K Games and Hangar 13 have announced that the next installment in the Mafia series will be called Mafia: The Old Country. In other words, Mafia 4 is now Mafia: The Old Country. To celebrate this announcement, the teams have shared a teaser trailer, which you can find here.

In Mafia: The Old Country, players will discover how organized crime began. The game will try to tell a hard and intense story set in the violent world of 1900s Sicily.

Players will fight to survive in this dangerous and harsh time. As the developers have noted, the game will feature authentic realism and rich storytelling – elements that the Mafia series is known for.

2K Games and Hangar 13 have not revealed further details about the game. However, they promised to share more information in December 2024. This means we might get a gameplay trailer at TGA 2024.

The trailer features in-engine footage. Since we've seen several in-engine trailers for games in the past that looked better than the final products, I suggest taking it with a grain of salt. Still, it can give an idea of what the developers are aiming to create.
