On July 21, during China's two-year celebration of League of Legends: Wild Rift, Riot Games released a teaser for the award-winning series Arcane's second season.

Here, Heimerdinger, one of Piltover's founders and former head of the Council, crawls through the academy's ventilation ducts with his newfound partner Ekko, the leader of the Firelights. What will they find in their search?


Paul Bellezza, the current Executive Producer for League of Legends and former Creative Director for League Studio, stated in the latest developer update that Heimerdinger, with his towers and unusual inventions, will arrive in Wild Rift in patch 5.3. Bellezza also announced that later this year the game will feature a series of new content and events to celebrate the release of Arcane Season 2.


Arcane Season 1 culminates in the ensuing technological arms race between Piltover and Zaun, with the conflict spiraling out of control. Vi's desperate attempt to get his little sister back ends in a disaster that changes the two cities forever. In season 2, Jinx's attack on the Council sets the stage for a violent escalation of the conflict between Piltover and Zaun.

As one of Piltover's most innovative and recognized inventors, Heimerdinger, together with Ekko, can play a decisive role in the fate of both cities. Fans can look forward to uncovering Heimerdinger's role in the events that will unfold in Arcane Season 2, premiering in November 2024!
