VGC has shared a video showing 27 minutes of uninterrupted gameplay footage from Silent Hill 2 Remake. These are the first 27 minutes of the game, so skip them if you want to experience the game for yourself. In addition, Konami has shared the official story trailer for Silent Hill 2 Remake.

Silent Hill 2 Remake will allow players to experience a master class in psychological horror on the latest hardware with terrifying visual effects and intense sounds. The developers have confirmed that it will support Ray Tracing and other cutting-edge technical improvements. In addition, you can expect new, immersive soundscapes.

The remake will have larger environments than the original game. As such, players will be able to explore locations and buildings that were previously inaccessible. Also, Bloober Team has added some new areas to the game.

Silent Hill 2 Remake will also have an updated battle system. Players will be able to avoid attacks with carefully timed dodges, aiming down the scope and more, making encounters with monsters more engaging and nerve-wracking than ever before.

As already mentioned, Silent Hill 2 Remake will use Unreal Engine 5. In October 2022, Bloober Team also shared the initial PC system requirements. According to them, an NVIDIA RTX2080 would be able to run it at 1080p/High/30fps. Since these PC specs were shared two years ago, I'm curious to see if Konami will update them. So far, Steam still lists the same PC requirements.

Konami will release Silent Hill 2 Remake on October 8th.
