Just as we have seen with most RTX 4090 cards, the new Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 AERO OC is of course also a big card. The underlying chip is of course the same from Nvidia, which is currently the largest consumer graphics chip on the market. So this is where you should look if you want to get the maximum performance out of your graphics card.
What separates the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 AERO OC from the pack is the design. It is a somewhat more subdued and stylish design than most graphics cards with a focus on the gaming audience. The colors are kept in silver and white, and there is only a minimum of RGB.
The only RGB found on the card is the logo on the side of the card, and here again the style is more withdrawn and subdued. There is no RGB to be found elsewhere on the card, such as around the fans or similar.
Beneath the new exterior are hidden the same features that we see on Gigabyte's gaming versions of the cards. Cooling is handled by three 110mm Windforce fans. These are fans that Gigabyte calls 3D Active. This means that the fans stop completely at low load, so you get a completely silent card.
The cooling block under the fans is, as on all RTX 4090 cards we've looked at, a massive case, which is the reason for the card's large size. The large stack of cooling fins, in cooperation with it, a large vapor chamber and a multitude of heatpipes ensure that keep both GPU chip and VRM cooling under load.
Gigabyte has not revealed a price yet, but if we look at the market for RTX 4090 cards, we can probably expect to land close to DKK 20,000. If that price doesn't put you off, you can read more about the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 AERO OC here.
