Intel has released their latest Game On driver, 5379 WHQL, which brings another round of huge FPS improvements for Arc A-Series GPUs and Core Ultra CPUs. It's fair to say at this point that Intel's software department is really going the extra mile by not only working on new game support in the latest Game On drivers, but also ensuring that performance in existing titles is up to scratch.
The company has introduced some big performance improvements in previous updates and the latest release pushes things further with a +172% improvement. While the performance improvements are listed below, it should also be noted that the new driver offers support in four new titles, including Diablo IV (Ray Tracing) Update, Dragon's Dogma 2, Horizon Forbidden West, and The Legend of the Condor Heroes.
In addition to gameplay and performance improvements, there are also some Arc and Core Ultra-specific bug fixes that address some crashes associated with running Counter Strike 2 in the Vulkan API and corruption when Alan Wake 2's global reflection settings were turned off.
