ASUS has announced the release of BIOS updates for its AM5 series motherboards that improve compatibility with the upcoming generation of AMD Ryzen processors. These updated BIOS versions now support not only the current Ryzen processors, but also the new 8000 series. The updates apply to a range of ASUS motherboards using the X670, B650 and A620 chipsets.
The purpose of the updates is to improve system stability and ensure optimal performance with the newly supported processors. The updated BIOS versions cover various models across several ASUS series, including ROG, ROG Strix, TUF Gaming, Pro Art, PRIME and others.
In particular, the ROG series updates include the ROG CROSSHAIR X670E EXTREME, HERO and GENE models, all of which get the 2007 BIOS version. Likewise, ROG STRIX models such as the X670E-E GAMING WIFI are updated to version 2007, reflecting ASUS' commitment to maintaining state-of-the-art performance in its gaming-optimized motherboards.
In the TUF Gaming line, models such as TUF GAMING X670E-PLUS WIFI and TUF GAMING B650M-PLUS WIFI are updated to version 2613, ensuring robust performance for gamers and professionals alike. The Pro Art and PRIME series also see updates, with models such as the ProArt X670E-CREATOR WIFI and PRIME X670E-PRO WIFI receiving the latest BIOS to promote creativity and productivity.
Additionally, the updates also include ASUS' budget-friendly options such as the PRIME A620-PLUS WIFI6 and A620M-AYW WIFI, which are updated to cater to users looking for cost-effective solutions without compromising on the capabilities of the newer Ryzen processors.
