AMD was hit by a data breach where its internal communications were allegedly stolen and put up for sale by hacker groups IntelBroker and EnergyWeaponUser. The American multinational semiconductor company experienced the breach in their systems the other day, according to The Register.
The data allegedly exfiltrated from AMD included communications from various sources. These contained user credentials, descriptions and case numbers, as well as allocation groups and internal solutions, a posting on BreachForums showed.
While AMD has yet to respond to the alleged data leak, the attackers stressed that the compromise is separate from an earlier breach of the company's internal data, customer databases, source code and other sensitive information in June.
"We are working closely with law enforcement and a third-party hosting partner to investigate the claim and the significance of the data," AMD said at the time. This development comes after IntelBroker claimed responsibility for attacks against the US Army, Pentagon, Europol, Korea's Ministry of Defense and Home Depot.
