Origin Code, in collaboration with GIGABYTE and Intel, has unveiled a new milestone in desktop RAM technology: 4R CUDIMM DDR5. Optimized for the latest Intel Core Ultra processors, the solution is designed to deliver extreme capacity and speed from just two RAM blocks – something that will particularly benefit AI work, 3D rendering and professional creators.

What is 4R CUDIMM?

Normally, regular RAM blocks (UDIMM) are limited to 64 GB each. If you wanted to have 256 GB of RAM in your computer, you would have to fill all four RAM slots, which almost always comes at the expense of speed and system stability.

Origin Code's new 4R (4-Rank Clocked Unbuffered DIMM) architecture solves this problem. By combining a quad-rank design with an advanced built-in Clock Driver (CKD) , they can keep the signal completely clean, even at very high frequencies. This means you get workstation-class capabilities directly on a standard motherboard without losing speed.

High-end speed

Where the standard 4R CUDIMM usually runs JEDEC standards at DDR5-8000 MT/s with high CL64 timings at 1.1V, Origin Code has tuned their top set significantly harder:

Specifications: The kit performs DDR5-8000 MT/s with low latency at CL42 timings at 1.4V.

It provides the bandwidth needed for heavy-duty tasks like local training of AI models, real-time 8K video editing, and advanced scientific simulations.

Showcased at COMPUTEX 2026

The technology has been tested and validated on an Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus processor paired with a GIGABYTE Z890 AORUS ELITE DUO X motherboard.

If you want to see the system in action, Origin Code is bringing it to the COMPUTEX 2026 tech show this week. Here, they will run a live demonstration in a custom-built hardware setup, subjecting the framework to massive stress tests to prove the stability of the collaboration between Origin Code, Intel, and GIGABYTE.
