A Samsung Galaxy A55 with Exynos 1480 SoC and Xclipse 530 GPU has appeared on Geekbench. It seems a launch is not far off.

The Samsung Galaxy A55 is one of the most anticipated smartphones from Samsung for those shopping for the mid range segment. Because even though the flagship phones are exciting to follow, it is not the segment that sells the most phones. New information about the device's specifications has just been leaked on Geekbench and through various certification processes. We have also previously seen leaks of images showing the design. According to the information, Samsung will equip the smartphone with an Exynos 1480 SoC and an Xclipse 530 GPU, making it an extremely powerful device for the midrange segment.

The details of the support adapter suggest that Samsung will equip the smartphone with support for 25W fast charging. This means that users will be able to charge their device quickly and efficiently, which is a big plus for those who are always on the go. However, the FCC database does not reveal any other specifications of the upcoming Galaxy A series smartphone. The 3C certification achieved by the smartphone confirmed the support for 25W fast charging with a 9V/2.77A rating. This is another indication that Samsung is really focusing on charging capacity and efficiency with this new model.

The 3C certification also reveals that Samsung will not include the adapter in the box, as with other Samsung smartphones. This is a practice that has become more common in the smartphone industry as manufacturers seek to reduce costs and environmental impact. A recent leak suggests that Samsung will debut the new smartphone in the second quarter of 2024. The device is expected to debut alongside the Galaxy A35 5G smartphone.

This is exciting news for the mid range market which has been waiting for the launch of these new models. The Galaxy A55 5G smartphone is likely to be launched in Awesome Ice Blue, Awesome Lilac, and Awesome Navy colorways. This gives consumers a variety of options to choose from, which is always a plus when it comes to smartphones.

The database further adds that the SoC will sport the model number s5e8845 and integrate the Xclipse 530 GPU. The Geekbench listing also confirms that the chipset will pair with up to 8GB of RAM. The device will also launch with Android 14 out of the box, according to the Geekbench listing. This is another exciting piece of information as Android 14 represents the latest technology in mobile operating systems.
