CRKD launches Nitro Deck 2 for Nintendo Switch 2

In addition to being used as a handheld controller, Nitro Deck 2 can also be used as a standalone wireless or wired pro controller for PC, mobile devices and Smart TVs via built-in Bluetooth. When the console is not plugged in, an included centerpiece can be attached, making the unit appear as a complete, freestanding controller.

New CaptiStick technology eliminates stick drift

Where the original Nitro Deck used traditional Hall-Effect sensors, the Nitro Deck 2 introduces the upgraded CRKD CaptiStick technology . The system is based on capacitor thumbsticks, which not only completely eliminates 'stick drift', but also provides resistance that can be adjusted to the player's preference. The technology also shields against electromagnetic interference (EMI) and has an extremely low power consumption, helping to extend the console's battery life during gaming.

Newly designed locking mechanism and improved ergonomics

To protect the console and make the connection more secure, the mounting system has been completely redesigned. Instead of sliding the console into a fixed slot, the Nitro Deck 2 mechanically expands around the device. A retractable locking disc on the rubberized back plate tightens to secure the console. A special 'Legacy Adapter' is included for use with the original Switch and OLED model.

The ergonomics have also been overhauled:

Offset Stick Layout: The right thumbstick is offset to provide a more natural and comfortable hand position.

Shaped contours: The outer shell has more pronounced, ergonomic curves for a significantly better grip.

Digital triggers and metal kickstand: The triggers have been upgraded to soft, tactile digital triggers, and the built-in kickstand is now made of durable metal for increased stability.

Customization, new buttons and interchangeable D-Pads

The Nitro Deck 2 expands on the customization options. The device retains the programmable back buttons from its predecessor, but adds new secondary L2 and R2 shoulder buttons .

Interchangeable Thumbsticks and D-Pads: The sticks remain interchangeable and compatible with existing CRKD Stick Top packs. In addition, a new interchangeable D-Pad system is introduced.

Motion Control and Rumble: Supports motion control in compatible games as well as adjustable rumble function, Deadzone Mode and Turbo Mode.

True Collection System & CRKD CTRL App: Each unit contains an NFC tag so the product can be registered in the CRKD app to check rarity. The app also allows players to remap buttons, calibrate sticks, fine-tune rumble, and update firmware.

Available today at crkd.gg and select retailers like Amazon, Nitro Deck 2 will be available in four colorways: classic White and Smoke Black (both with metallic thumb bases), retro-inspired 16-bit PAL Grey , and the translucent Fusion Limited Edition (half Glacier Blue, half Atomic Purple), created in collaboration with Limited Run Games.
