Fanatec presents ClubSport F1 Racing System

The new set replaces the widely used ClubSport Racing Wheel F1®, which has been used extensively by professional e-sports drivers for training for many years. The updated system reuses the powerful ClubSport DD+ Wheel Base, but pairs it with the all-new and exclusive ClubSport F1 V3 Steering Wheel.

Tobias Stelzer, VP & General Manager at Fanatec, said in connection with the presentation:

With the ClubSport F1 Racing System, we are adding further refinements to the wheel itself, while maintaining the strong direct drive performance that drivers already know from the ClubSport DD+. We are very excited to put it in people’s hands for the first time at the Tokyo Game Show.”

18 Nm direct drive and telemetry-based FullForce

At the heart of the system's powerful base station, the ClubSport DD+, is a high-performance direct drive motor. The motor can deliver a constant holding torque of up to 18 Nm, ensuring a smooth and realistic reproduction of the power of the racing car.

The base also features Fanatec's FullForce technology, which uses real-time game telemetry data to create lightning-fast and responsive vibrations and effects. The ClubSport DD+ is fully compatible with Fanatec's entire ecosystem of pedals, shifters and accessories, making it a solid platform for esports and enthusiasts alike.

Forged carbon fiber and better ergonomics

The new steering wheel itself is based on the ClubSport Formula V3 platform, but introduces an exclusive carbon fiber design with forged carbon surfaces and a unique Formula 1-inspired color scheme.

The steering wheel has been made wider than its predecessor, providing a more natural driving position and improved comfort during long, intense races. At the rear of the steering wheel is a pre-installed, exclusive version of the Podium Advanced Paddle Module. The module's upper and middle gearshift paddles are made from the same forged carbon fiber as the steering wheel, while the lower analog paddles are made from black anodized aluminum.

The steering wheel is also packed with controls for fine-tuning the car's setup while driving:

• LED and Display: Equipped with 15 RGB LEDs for tachometer and flag signals, as well as a 2.7-inch white OLED display for viewing telemetry and menu setup.
• Controls: Includes two 7-way FunkySwitches, rotary knobs, and 12-way switches, all of which have been mechanically optimized to provide better tactile feedback and greater precision when making quick changes in the heat of battle.

Approval and availability

The Fanatec ClubSport F1 Racing System is currently undergoing final approval by Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE). The announcement has been approved by SIE, and actual production is scheduled to begin once final certification is in place. Specific pricing and availability information will be announced closer to launch.
