New widgets for Corsair XENEON EDGE

Corsair has just announced that their XENEON EDGE 14.5" touchscreen monitor will now be integrated into the Elgato Marketplace. This means that owners of the monitor will have access to a completely new platform where they can download and install widgets to personalize their desktop. At the same time, it will be possible for users to build their own widgets - even if they are not a programmer.

Elgato Marketplace opens up

Before this update, you were locked into the widgets that Corsair had built into the iCUE software. Now it's like that with Stream Deck: An open ecosystem where the community can contribute. To kick things off, Corsair has released over 20 free widgets that are available for immediate download. They cover everything from countdown timers and live sports scores to monitoring your system stats and network ping.

Taylor Ward, director of ecosystem at Elgato, sees great potential in the display:

"Stream Deck became a platform because the community built experiences for it that we could never have come up with ourselves. XENEON EDGE has the same capability, and a touchscreen gives the community a completely different canvas to work with."


Build your own widgets with AI

One of the most interesting news is how easy it will be to create your own content. Using AI tools, you can describe the widget you dream of in plain Danish or English and get the finished code back. According to Corsair, you can go from idea to a finished, running widget in a few hours.

Once you've built something you're happy with, you can either use it yourself or submit it to the Elgato Marketplace for others in the community to download or purchase.


Easy integration into iCUE

With the latest version of iCUE software (version 5.44), installing new widgets is as easy as changing the RGB profile on a keyboard. Previously, you had to wait for a major software update to get new features, but now you can add small applications directly from the Marketplace.
