Corsair launches Darkstar Wireless

Corsair has just presented their Darkstar Wireless mouse aimed at MMO players with a special layout of buttons.

Corsair even highlights the MMO genre of games in their marketing of the new Darkstar Wireless mouse. However, it can of course be used for all types of games and work tasks where you would like to have more buttons available.



15 programmable buttons

One of the central features of the Darkstar Wireless is no less than 15 programmable buttons. They are distributed both on the top and the side of the mouse. Especially the buttons on the side stand out a little. Here you get six buttons advantage around a textured grip.

The primary buttons are Corsair's Quickstrike buttons with optical switches.

All the buttons can of course be customized to your liking via Corsair's iCue software.


Good connections

Darkstar Wireless can be connected via Corsair's Slipstream Wireless connection via USB dongle. Here you get the option of 2000 Hz polling rate. However, that connection can be supplemented by both cable and Bluetooth, if you want.

Tracking is handled via Corsair's Marksman optical sensor of 26,000 DPI. It can be customized right down to the detail with the possibility of adjustment down to one DPI step at a time. Corsair states the battery life of the Darkstar Wireless at up to 80 hours.

The Corsair Darkstar Wireless lands with a price of around 210$, so we are on the expensive end.
