The test – Use and comfort

We must of course have tested the mouse through. That's why I put my normal mouse aside and replaced it with the Logitech G309 Lightspeed. It is used in a period where it is thrown through a little differently, from normal computer use and gaming.

I use a website which tests the polling rate on the mouse by running it around the website. During the test I got the result of 865 Hz in average and 1000 Hz in maximum.

I see the G309 Lightspeed as a normal sized gaming mouse, which also allows for several different grips to be used on it. Although I only had access to test with one AA battery, which gives the mouse a weight of 78 grams, it is still an incredibly light mouse. The sensor responds really well and I could have a "lower" DPI and still achieve a good response and speed with the mouse.

The contacts made no more noise than the mouse I normally use, which is also on the low end. The same applies to the wheel, which made no noise at all, but still had some feedback when used.

During games, and especially FPS, I experienced a good movement with the mouse. It was easy to maneuver around and gave me an opportunity to react quickly.

Conclusion

After using the Logitech G309 Lightspeed for both general use and gaming, it is clear that this mouse delivers an impressive performance in several areas. During my testing period, which included everything from everyday computer use to intense gaming, the mouse proved to be both versatile and reliable. The polling rate test resulted in an average rate of 865 Hz and a maximum rate of 1000 Hz, confirming its high responsiveness – a crucial factor for competitive gaming.

The mouse's ergonomic design makes it comfortable to use for long periods of time, and its relatively low weight of 78 grams (with AA battery) makes it easy to maneuver.
