ASUS has unveiled some new hardware at this year's Gamescom. They have, among other things, announced three new screens in their ROG series, which are naturally aimed at the gaming market.

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has introduced three new 1440p gaming monitors at Gamescom 2024: ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDP, ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDNG and ROG Swift 360 Hz PG27AQNR.

ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDP is the first 1440p display with a 480Hz refresh rate to use an anti-glare WOLED panel. The 26.5-inch ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDNG offers a 360 Hz refresh rate with a QHD QD-OLED panel equipped with anti-reflection technology. Both screens have ASUS Extreme Low Motion Blur (ELMB) and OLED Anti-Flicker technologies.

ASUS is the only gaming monitor brand that offers both QD-OLED and WOLED options, meeting different gaming needs. These monitors aim to deliver exceptional visual performance and high refresh rates, enhancing the gaming experience.

Also introduced, the ROG Swift 360 Hz PG27AQNR features a QHD Ultrafast IPS display with a 360 Hz refresh rate, specifically targeting e-sports and competitive gaming. This monitor features G-SYNC Pulsar technology, designed for superior motion clarity.

In addition to the three-year warranty, the OLED screens also include OLED Care+, a set of functions to protect the panel. These features, which can be accessed via ASUS DisplayWidget Center software, include Taskbar Detection, Outer Dimming Control and Global Dimming Control. Users can also adjust the HDR settings for personalized visual experiences. These features will be available in future ROG gaming monitors.

ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDP

ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDP is the first OLED gaming monitor to support 1440p resolution at a refresh rate of 480 Hz. It has a 26.5-inch WOLED panel with an anti-glare coating, 0.03ms response time and a RWGB subpixel layout for sharper text.

The display also includes an AI Assistant with features such as AI Visual, AI Crosshair, AI Sniper, AI ShadowBoost and MOBA Map Helper which enhance the gaming experience. The monitor is priced at $999.

ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDNG

ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDNG features a 26.5-inch, 2560 x 1440 QD-OLED panel with anti-glare coating, 360 Hz refresh rate and 0.03 ms response time. It includes a new heatsink design for efficient heat management.

The screen's compact base optimizes desk space and has a mobile phone slot. The Dynamic Brightness Boost feature boosts brightness at low APL window sizes, and AI Visual adjusts settings based on on-screen content. A USB-C port with 90-watt Power Delivery is included for versatile connectivity. This display is expected to be available in early Q4 2024.

ROG Swift 360Hz PG27AQNR

ROG Swift 360 Hz PG27AQNR is designed for e-sports and competitive gamers. It features a 27-inch QHD Ultrafast IPS panel with a refresh rate of 360 Hz, G-SYNC technology including Pulsar for improved motion clarity, and variable refresh rate (VRR) support for smooth visual experiences.

Connectivity options include DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC, two HDMI 2.1 ports and a USB port for firmware updates. This screen will be available in Q4 2024.
